1. Using Tav Messenger
You may use Tav Messenger for lawful communication. You are responsible for activity performed through your account, devices and Tav identity.
2. Your credentials and recovery material
You are responsible for protecting passwords, recovery information and private cryptographic material associated with your Tav identity. Do not share private keys or recovery material with people you do not trust.
3. Prohibited use
You may not use the service to attack, disrupt, overload or compromise Tav Messenger or other systems; distribute malware; impersonate others deceptively; or use the service in violation of applicable law.
4. Availability
Tav Messenger is provided on an as-available basis. Features, network architecture and supported platforms may change as the service develops. Continuous or error-free availability is not guaranteed.
5. User content
You retain responsibility for the content you send. Tav Messenger does not claim ownership of your private conversations merely because encrypted envelopes pass through network infrastructure.
6. Security and software
You should keep Tav Messenger and your operating system up to date. Modified or unofficial clients may not provide the same security properties as supported Tav Messenger releases.
7. Changes to these terms
These terms may be revised as the service changes. The effective date above identifies the current version published on this site.
